Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RealPage.
Account Representative
First I had a phone interview, then several in person interviews with management. They explained the position and what was needed, then asked about my sales background. After that, they asked about my success stories and a bunch of situational questions.
- Tell me about your sales background.
- Can you share some of your success stories?
- What would you do if you were in this situation...
Account Representative
A recruiter reached out, and after a short phone chat, I was invited for an in-person interview at the Dallas headquarters. I first met with the recruiter, then was introduced to a VP for an interview, followed by an interview with a director. The whole visit lasted about two hours. The next day, I had another meeting with a different VP, which also went well. Later that same day, I was asked to complete a personality test. The following day, I was contacted to provide more information for a background check and references. The offer came through the day after that.
- Can you try to sell me this pen?
- What other standard interview questions did you encounter?
Account Representative
Started with a phone screen with HR and then a scavenger hunt related to the company. Then I had interviews with several sales managers and the VP of sales. They asked me questions about solutions selling and my daily activities.
- Can you sell yourself to me?
- What questions do you have about our needs?
- Explain solution selling.
