First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RD Station.
Support Analyst
It was a long and tedious process. First, I had to submit an audio recording answering general questions like what attracted me to the role, how I approach customer service, and my understanding of consultative support. Then, there was a chat with HR, which was friendly and relaxed, focusing on more general customer service scenarios. The next step involved creating a ticket via email, with a 24-hour deadline for a response. The final stage was a 30-minute interview with leadership, which involved the same generic questions, followed by another 30 minutes dedicated to a real-time customer service simulation. This simulation consisted of handling two simultaneous chats in separate Google Meeting rooms, with cameras off, using the chat function. The chat scenarios, specific to the RD Station product, were provided two days in advance for preparation. This was challenging if you're unfamiliar with RD Station, as it requires in-depth product knowledge and perfect service delivery. The evaluation seemed to focus more on product knowledge than on general customer service skills, which I found to be a significant drawback, especially since onboarding is typically for learning the product and company's service approach. Overall, the process was heavily focused on technical aspects.

The selection process is based on a match between the company and the candidate, focusing on profile aspects rather than just professional experience. It was conducted entirely remotely via Skype, with no need for travel. The interview was very informal, completely focused on the candidate sharing their life experiences, preferences, and future goals. Throughout the stages, the objectives of each were clearly explained. The final stage was a self-assessment about the RDStation tool.

The hiring process was characterized by a disregard for the candidate. Initially, they sent an email with five lengthy 'mindset' tests that didn't add anything and only served to waste time. Then, in the interview with HR, there was no feedback on these tests; they only asked generic questions that could be found in any other process, creating a false expectation of alignment with the job. In the next phase, they sent an extremely specific and complex case study, giving the impression that they were seeking professional opinions without compensation. They only allowed four days for submission. I dedicated time to respond as completely as possible, grounding my answers in law, and expected at least the chance to speak with the area manager to explain my reasoning. Instead, the rejection came with a superficial justification, lacking any coherence. The experience made it clear that this is an outdated selection process, seeking 'perfect' candidates who, unrealistically, deeply understand the company without ever having worked there. In the end, I consider myself lucky not to have advanced, as this type of conduct shows that the company doesn't truly value good professionals. I don't recommend other candidates waste their time on this process.
- Tell me about your expectations for the company, your salary desires, and your professional goals.
