Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RCO Legal.
Litigation Paralegal
First, there's a phone call. Then, an in-person meeting where they ask standard interview questions, mostly to gauge your personality fit and competence. It's important to have researched the company and the interviewer beforehand. The conversation aims to see what you know without directly asking. If they like you, a background check will follow. If all checks out, you might get an offer.
- Can you introduce yourself and explain why you'd be a great fit for this role?
Legal Assistant
I found the job on Craigslist and heard back the very next day about setting up a phone interview. It was basically just a bunch of behavioral questions thrown at me, not really anything about me or my background, just stuff that seemed like it was pulled straight from a Google search. None of the questions felt like they'd actually give them any insight into who I am.
- Can you describe a situation where you...?
- Tell me about a time when you faced a specific challenge.
- Could you share an example of when you had to...?
Legal Assistant
Typical interview process. Wait in a reception area on the first floor. Manager of the position greeted me and escorted me through the building, with a small tour on the way to the conference room. Interview was conducted by the manager and managing attorney. 30-45 minute interview.
- What do you consider your worst asset?
