Program Manager
I applied online and then a recruiter reached out. We first had a 30 minute screening chat. After that, I was scheduled for an on-site interview with the hiring manager. A team member also attended the on-site. They asked pretty standard questions about my past experience and how it fits the job.
- Could you tell me why you left your previous position?
- In what ways do you believe your experience matches the requirements of this role?
- What are your thoughts on salary expectations?
Program Manager
The process was pretty standard. I first talked to the hiring manager, which was a surprise since I thought HR would reach out first. There were three interviews in total. The first was with the HM, the second was a panel with the HM's colleagues, and the last one was with the HM's boss.
- How do you handle working in a matrix organization?
- Tell me about a time you had to figure out something you were asked to do, but the person who assigned it wasn't available to help.
Operations Program Manager
I got 2 pings on my resume. The first was a Director who reached out and described the position. We talked phone to phone because the virtual interview didn't work. It was kind of disorganized, but I liked it for some reason. She seemed to like me and said her lead would reach out. I spoke with him and didn't get a good vibe. This role wasn't for me because of the awkward, unorganized interview, and I didn't like that one very well. So I didn't get the position. Next, I spoke with a recruiter. She said she would forward me on, but then 2 wks later told me she didn't have my resume. Once I sent it, I guess I wasn't qualified.
- Can you tell me why you are leaving your current company?
