First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Raymond James Financial.
Financial Analyst
I applied online after chatting with the campus recruiters. About two weeks later, I got an interview set up. First, I had to do an online personality test. Then, there was a 30-minute phone interview where I had to go over my resume with the recruiter and answer some behavioral questions. This was actually my very first job interview since I'm still in school, and I wasn't really ready for the behavioral part. I found out about a week later that I didn't make it to the next stage. Overall, it was a decent experience, and I don't think the interview would have been too hard if I had been better prepared for the behavioral questions.
- Can you share what your most difficult academic decision was?
- Describe a time you collaborated with a team.
- Could you tell me about a time you handled a difficult client and how you resolved the issue?
Financial Analyst
I applied and got an email with a link to take a psychometric questionnaire, kind of like MBTI. After that, I got a call to set up a phone interview. The interviewer asked general questions, and it felt like they were trying to gauge my general job skills and salary expectations. They also told me more about what the job needs. Then I went in for a face-to-face interview where I met with two managers. They were both really nice and asked more questions about my skills and qualifications.
- Tell me about your skills and qualifications.
Financial Analyst Intern
The interviewer asked me some scenario-based questions to see how I solve problems and work with others. They also asked me some behavioral questions to get to know me better. I also got to ask them questions at the end. The kids walked down the street.
- How is your day going?
- Tell me about a time you had to solve a problem.
- Can you share an example of a teamwork experience?
