I was contacted on Linkedin about a potential opportunity. We scheduled a call which started as a prospecting chat but became more of an interview where I was asked about my experience. They said they'd get back to me, but I haven't heard anything since. As a recruiter, you'd hope for better candidate experience, but that wasn't the case here.
- Could you tell me about the typical number of roles you handle simultaneously?
Talent Acquisition Partner
Heard back the day after I applied through a referral. Had a high level phone call with the initial recruiter, then a deeper dive video call with the Talent Acquisition Director. They closed the loop with me the next day. It was a very fast process.
- Can you describe your approach to prioritizing tasks?
- Share an experience of successfully working with new hiring managers.
Talent Acquisition Partner
I had an initial conversation with the recruiter for the role. She was 15 minutes late to the interview. Aside from that, we had a nice conversation and I enjoyed learning more about the company. Unfortunately, it didn't work out due to a misalignment on salary.
- What do you consider to be the single most critical question for a recruiter to ask during an initial candidate screening?
