First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Rapid7.
Customer Success Manager
I was approached by Josh, one of the UK recruiters and honestly one of the most genuine and professional recruiters I've ever encountered. Following that 1st meeting, I interviewed with the CS Director in the UK, a CSM from the UK team, sales counterpart and the VP in the US. Each of these interviews felt like a really relaxed conversation, where we had all the time to discuss CSM in-depth and get to know each other as well. Throughout all these interviewing rounds, Josh checked in regularly and informed me of the status. All in all the whole interviewing process gave me the impression that Rapid7, contrary to US stereotypes, seems a very people oriented organisation and they seem to genuinely care for their employees & employee experience. In the end, I chose to accept another job offer before Rapid7 had the opportunity to make me one, but given any other time and place, I would have definitely loved to work for Rapid7. Hopefully in the future. Can definitely recommend them!

- Is there any way your specific academic background can be applied to Customer Success Manager jobs?
Customer Success Manager
First, there was a 30-minute phone chat with the recruiter. It was pretty basic and conversational, and we talked about my background and why I'm interested in the company. Then, I had another 30-minute phone interview with the hiring Manager. They asked some questions about my current job and the types of projects and clients I handle. Finally, I went in for an onsite interview with the same Manager, plus one other CSM, two more Managers, and the RVP. Everyone was really friendly and seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me. The company culture seemed great based on my impression.
- What are your long-term career aspirations?
- Can you describe your approach to task prioritization?
- What are your hobbies or interests outside of your professional life?
Customer Success Manager
Applied online and then got an email from a recruiter about a week later. We set up a screening call, but they were 25 minutes late. It's fine, but they didn't even apologize, which felt unprofessional. We rescheduled, and again, they were 8 minutes late, still no apology. The actual conversation wasn't super relaxed. Later, I got an email to schedule with the hiring manager, which I replied to immediately. That was two weeks ago, and I haven't heard anything since, which is surprising with the total silence.
- Can you describe what a typical day looked like in your previous position?
