First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Rapid Response Monitoring.
Senior Network Engineer
The first interview round was odd because there wasn't any technical screening or background check. Instead, they just used a tool that asked for behavioral responses, like picking personal skills. There was also a 12-minute aptitude test with 50 questions that didn't have anything to do with my technical field. This interview setup seems like a bad idea because it might filter out a lot of good people. You know, in networking, troubleshooting means really getting the problem and making a guess to fix it or narrow it down. Making quick calls can really mess up the network and cause bigger problems for the company.
- Respond to behavioral questions by selecting personal skills.
- Take a 50-question, 12-minute aptitude test unrelated to your technical background.
Data Analyst
I applied for the job on LinkedIn and a recruiter contacted me to set up a video call with the hiring manager. The first interview was a screening where I had to do a personality test and a Wonderlic IQ test. I thought it went well and was expecting to move on, but then I got an email saying I was rejected. It's frustrating to be rejected without them even looking at my actual skills.

Customer Service Representative
Applied online and heard back the next day from a recruiter. The call went over the job details. Then, I was sent a quick personality quiz and tests for typing speed (min 30 WPM) and math/critical thinking, all to be done within 48 hours. After finishing those, I got an invite for a virtual interview a couple of days later. The interview was with a recruiter or manager and focused on my resume and past work history, mostly in security, dispatch, and management. It was like they wanted me to verbally explain my resume. The interview was about 30 minutes. I was told I'd hear back in 3-5 business days, and got a denial email on Monday.
- Can you tell me about why you decided to work for your last company?
- What led you to take the promotion in your previous role?
Senior Account Manager
Since I was applying for an outside role, I was geographically distant. After initial emails, I had two phone interviews: one with hiring/recruiting, the next with the President. Then, the President flew to my location to meet me. They asked thorough questions, not just about job duties or how they'd translate, but also about what I enjoy and my personality. It was assuring that even if I wasn't an exact fit, there might be other opportunities. They do personality tests on all new hires, and thankfully, I was a good fit for the sales position. Very professional and polished.
- Can you tell me about your most challenging experiences in your job history and how you overcame them?
- What is your ideal work environment?
- How and why did you get into the security industry?
