Customer Service Representative
So the interview process had a few parts. It started with like a screening interview. The recruiter just asked me some basic questions about my background, my experience, and like when I can work. It was basically to see if I'd be a good fit for the job.
- Can you tell me about a time you had to handle a frustrated customer and how you approached it?
- How do you manage to stay calm and professional when dealing with difficult or upset customers?
Customer Service Representative
The entire interview process lasted around three hours and included a pretty long assessment. Because it was for a customer service rep job, I had to read from a script and they recorded my voice. After that, they asked me some questions about my resume, like about my past jobs, challenges I'd dealt with, if I was okay talking on the phone, and my computer skills. The assessment part checked my Spanish, how fast I could translate, and had a logic section that took the most time. It wasn't super hard, but it was a bit of a challenge because it was so long. Randstad is a staffing agency that helps companies find people for their openings. I felt like I wasn't quite qualified for the job I applied for, but luckily I learned everything I needed to in training. This part might be different depending on the specific job.
- Can you describe a time you de-escalated a problem at work?
- Tell me about your experience as a customer service representative, including any retail or call center background.
Customer Service Associate
The interviewer greeted me warmly, offering water which was a nice touch. We talked about my previous job experiences and the details of this role. He felt I might be a better fit for a different position in MA and mentioned he'd connect me with the hiring manager there. Unfortunately, I never heard back from him despite multiple attempts to reach out via email and phone.
- What prompted your departure from Verizon?
