The process let me as a candidate get a strong sense of the company and the role. It was important to Ramsey that I interview them and get an in-depth perspective on leadership, the culture and what winning looks like. I was encouraged to ask any and all questions to help me in my decision to join the team. I rated the interview as difficult not as a negative, but because the process is so thorough. It’s a longer process than some may be accustomed to, however at the end of it, both Ramsey and the candidate should be very sure about the decision. I love how I was encouraged to interview them as much as they were interviewing me.

I had an initial HR phone interview which was a standard HR-type interview. The interviewer was nice and I was promptly informed I would proceed to the next step with the hiring manager. That interview, however, was quite awkward and unprofessional. It was a video call and the manager kept yawning. I mean, if you wouldn't hire someone who yawns while you're talking, why would you do that to an applicant? I didn't expect a Christian company to think that's okay. I was really let down after hoping this company would treat people with respect. I'd taken a Ramsey Solutions course and liked their philosophy because it helped me get out of debt, so this interview experience was a big disappointment.

It consists of a system design whiteboard session, manager reviews, and a disc profile, all taking place over several weeks. The company really cares about finding a good fit for your talents rather than just interviewing for a specific job opening. Be ready for it to be a long process for management roles.
