Ralph Lauren Marketing Analyst Interview Questions
& Process

Started with 2 HR folks, one from the US and one from Japan. No Japanese was spoken in this first chat. It was mostly about getting to know me and my knowledge of Ralph Lauren. Then came a bunch of tests: Excel, a personality assessment, a Japanese language test, and a math test, all done in Japanese. The last part was another panel interview, this time with the two heads of Japan. They were both foreign guys, super nice and relaxed, but they asked some really challenging questions. The biggest issue was the super long wait to hear back from them; I had already accepted another offer with a 30% salary bump by then. They didn't even give me any feedback, just radio silence, so I was really shocked when they finally made me an offer. I thought it was a lost cause. If a company takes this long to get back to you, it either means their HR is really slow, or maybe I was a backup choice after others rejected their offer, which makes you wonder. It definitely says something about the company.

So, a recruiter hit me up after I applied. First, I had this video call with her. She asked me basic stuff about my past jobs and what I've done, then told me about the hiring manager. Next, I had an interview with the director/hiring manager. Super friendly person, the interview went well and even went over the time limit. I felt like a good fit and thought there'd be another interview. But, I had to chase them for answers for like 2.5 weeks. The worst part was finding out I didn't get it because they moved on with another candidate, and I had to hear it after following up multiple times. A phone call would've been nice since I'm looking at other merchandising jobs. All in all, a pretty good experience, like an 8/10.

The first step is an HR interview, which is pretty standard. Then, you'll have a manager and director interview. They might bring in more than one team, but they usually try to group it all at once to make things easier for everyone. It's all pretty straightforward.
