Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ralph Lauren.
Designer
After applying, a recruiting manager contacted me about a month later. Scheduling the interview took some effort, but I was eventually fast-tracked to a video interview with the Director of the role. It went well, and the recruiter then set up a second video interview with the Project Manager. That interview also went well, but when I followed up with the recruiter afterwards, I got no reply. It's a real shame because I liked my chats with the team and I still think highly of this company, but I ended up being ghosted.
- Can you walk me through a typical day in your current job?
Designer
The interviewer was nice and respectful. If you get a chance to talk with them, just be prepared to answer common interview questions, be able to explain your process, and dress nicely. I didn't get an offer or do a second round interview because the type of work I did didn't fit their needs.
- Can you describe your aesthetic?
- How do you hope to be remembered after graduation?
- What is your interest in Ralph Lauren?
Designer
It was a pretty standard process. First, I had an initial chat with HR. After that, I met with the team and the manager. I showed my portfolio to HR first, and then presented it again to the team when I met them.
- Can you describe your design process?
