Got a call from the district manager asking if I was free for an interview with the area manager that day before she left. She gave me a casual one-on-one interview. Three days later, after a background check, I had another casual one-on-one with the store manager. Then an interview with the regional manager was set up, but I declined it.

You'll interview with the District Manager (DM) first, which is a relaxed chat about your qualifications. They'll tell you upfront about company expectations, like working holidays. After or before the DM interview, everyone goes through a background check. Once you pass that, you'll get a call from the store about when the Regional Manager will call you. The Regional Manager will ask you questions while looking at your application, so be ready to discuss your work history. Keep your answers consistent with what you told the DM. It's a casual conversation. After they talk to all candidates, they decide who gets the job. The DM will then call you with a salary offer; they don't negotiate, so it's take it or leave it. Dress nicely, and no piercings or visible tattoos.

The first interview was with the District Manager and it took about an hour. They asked me about my retail background and what I did in previous jobs. I had to explain why I left previous jobs and they wanted to know my loss prevention and sales numbers from past employers. After I gave them references for all my previous jobs, they said they would let me know. Two days later, they called and offered me the job with a salary. The salary wasn't exactly what I wanted, but the District Manager said that with potential bonuses and the yearly salary review, it would match what I was asking for. I took the job and only got 3 days of training.
