I applied and got a call back after a few days. The store they were interviewing at was 45 minutes away. When I got there, I had to fill out the application again and write my resume by hand even though I had already filled it out online. The interviewer looked at my resume, which shows 3 years of retail management experience but not specifically in a clothing store (since it's fashion). She offered me a cashier position at minimum wage. When I asked about growth, she said 'always' but then mentioned she doesn't control the stores in my area. It was a waste of my time and gas, very disappointing.

The district manager contacted me to come to a store to complete an application. After I finished, they said they needed to run my background and would call me for an interview. A week later, I called to check and learned the interviewer was on vacation. I almost gave up, but then I got a call for the interview. I met with the district manager who reviewed my application and noted my lack of apparel experience, which was true, but I have years of management experience. She then asked which position I was applying for, which I found strange since she had my application and called me in. She asked my age, which is an illegal question. She stated she needed to discuss my qualifications with her boss because her boss might not consider me for the assistant manager role. This was confusing, as I wondered why she would proceed if she had doubts. She told me I'd interview with her boss, but I never received a callback.
