I was contacted on LinkedIn by a recruiter and had a call the very next day. I felt like the role was a great fit, especially since I had similar experience to the hiring manager. They were successful in their career and familiar with the company's markets and sales methods. I mentioned I'd researched the company but hadn't yet looked at their Glassdoor ratings, which seemed to be where things went wrong. I got an email the next day saying I lacked marketing experience and was too technical. I sent them examples of my marketing materials, like brochures and trade show stuff, and then I checked the Glassdoor ratings myself. I highly recommend anyone interviewing here to read all the reviews carefully. People have spent a lot of time reviewing this company, providing insights on what it takes to succeed, and many of these reviews are from current or past management.

So first, a recruiter gave me a call and we chatted for like, a couple of hours total over a couple of conversations. Then, I had some Skype video calls with a senior director at Rain Bird. After that, I had another Skype video chat, this time with a business manager. Finally, I went for an onsite interview where I had open discussions, about an hour each, with various people on the team.

I was reached out to by a recruiter and had an initial chat. After that, I had a phone interview with the Senior Product Manager. The next step was an onsite interview in Tucson where I met with the Marketing Manager, the SBU director, and another product manager. I got a job offer quickly after, with two weeks to decide. The company gave me a weird vibe though, too serious for what they do. The security at the front desk was a bit much, more than I'd seen in tech.
