Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Raft (VA).
Software Engineer
The interview process took place over two rounds. It began with a recruiter screen, followed by a panel interview featuring three individuals of varying levels. This panel interview incorporated both technical and behavioral questioning. I found the overall process to be a positive experience. The recruiter maintained consistent communication and provided prompt responses. The offer was extended just an hour after completing the second round.
- Questions covering fullstack development, including programming languages, frameworks, and databases.
Software Engineer
The interview process was great. They were very open about their work and let me speak to software engineers on my potential new team directly. It was a multi-staged process and pretty relaxed.
- Can you describe your performance at your current job?
Senior Software Engineer
A recruiter reached out about a Senior Software Engineer role. The first step was a recruiter call about the job and their tech stack, with standard questions about my familiarity with it. The recruiter seemed nice. The second and final interview was supposed to be a 60-minute session with engineers, covering both technical and behavioral topics. But I never got to do it because the recruiter ghosted me, no rejection or response when I asked about the job after seeing the posting removed. The process seems streamlined, which is nice these days. You just have to decide if you want to spend 30 minutes on the initial screening and risk getting ghosted.
- Can you tell me about your resume?
- How familiar are you with the technology stack we use?
