Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Radian Group.
Claims Analyst
The HR person at Radian was really nice and asked a lot of questions. Just be upfront and friendly. You're interviewing with managers, but they're just people who like meeting good candidates, not robots.
- What personal areas for improvement do you identify as an employee?
Analyst
The process started really fast with a quick initial chat, then a phone screen, and then I had a meeting with the hiring manager all within three days. I was stoked about how quick things were moving. But then, it went south. The hiring manager was 15 minutes late and had to cut the interview short because they didn't schedule enough time. The HR person kept saying things like "shortly" and "we want to move quickly", but then they ghosted me after I followed up three weeks later. The job has been posted for 60 days, and it's still up even after they sent me that generic rejection email saying they found more qualified candidates. Definitely felt like a waste of time.
- What's prompting your job search?
- Can you elaborate on a significant project you've managed?
- Has your professional background been primarily shaped by practical work experience or academic learning?
Analyst
The interview process was pretty transparent and straightforward. First, there was a phone interview with HR for general screening. Then, the second and third interviews were panel interviews with the team, focusing more on the role. Finally, there was a meeting with the department head.
- Could you explain your understanding of this role?
- Can you describe your approach to managing and prioritizing several tasks simultaneously?
