Digital Project Manager
I found the job through Craigslist. A recruiter reached out and suggested a different role, Digital Project Manager, which I accepted. The first step was a quick recruiter call to discuss my work history. Then, I had an in-person interview with two department managers who focused on my project experience. After that, I met with a tech lead who asked a couple of simple technical questions, like 'what does CMS stand for?'. I also briefly met with the department head. Since it's a junior role, the process was straightforward. I heard back about the offer about three weeks later, after several follow-ups.
- What makes you want to take on this role?
- Can you tell me about your general work experience?
- Could you share your background and experience with managing projects?
Project Manager
Terrible interview experience with this company. Went through two rounds with various people. They didn't keep me in the loop or update me on the process. After a month, I emailed them for a response after investing energy for 2 months, and still no response. Those days are gone where you keep interviews hanging with no response after months.
- Can you share an example of a time when...?
Digital Project Manager
I had 2 interviews. The first one was more of a get-to-know-you type of thing where they asked me a couple of questions. They seemed really interested in how I handle juggling multiple tasks. They also asked me why I'm interested in working for their company.
- Can you tell me why you are interested in working for our company?
- Describe a situation where you experienced a failure.
- Can you share an instance where you improved a process or a situation?
