I had an easy time with the application. First, I spoke with the store manager. Then, I had a second interview that included a drug test and filling out onboarding paperwork. We talked about the company policies, the job descriptions, and what a typical day looks like. They also went over the medical benefits and 401k. I even got to do some safety training and lottery training.

I applied to a few Racetracs nearby and got a call within 3 days from the Homosassa location. They asked some basic questions and invited me for an interview. Two friendly, energetic employees interviewed me for about 15 minutes. They said they'd call by 6 pm if I qualified. They called back in 30 minutes with an offer for a second interview at a Racetrack closer to my home, which was great! The next day, I met the manager and two co-workers at the closer location. They were also friendly and energetic. I waited about an hour and a half to two hours for a call back, which made me nervous. I got the call and was told when orientation started. The only downside was having to go to Tampa for orientation, but otherwise, it was good. I'm on my second day of training now with two more days to go, so things seem to be going well.

The interview seemed pretty straightforward. They were looking for someone with a lot of energy, and I thought I fit the bill, but I guess not. The hiring manager, who oversaw stores in a 50-mile radius, was really professional and nice. I was pretty sure I'd get the job, but I guess I was wrong. They ended up hiring someone I know who had less experience, less personality, and wasn't as professional as I am. I'm not shopping there anymore because of it.
