Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RaceTrac.
Intern
They set up an interview real quick and got back to me the next day. They wanted to get to know me as a person. You should be ready to talk about your role and answer some basic self-reflection questions about yourself.
- What is your motivation for wanting to join RaceTrac?
Intern
We started with introductions and an overview of the job. Then, they asked me some behavioral questions about the job and some questions about things on my resume. Afterwards, they left a lot of time for me to ask questions about the role.
- Could you explain what a decision tree is?
Intern
The interview process was pretty informal. It involved some personality questions and a few questions about job scenarios, but they didn't really explain the job much. They were a bit pushy about the offer, wanting a decision in 24 hours, which I would have liked more time for. The phone interview was basic, mostly asking about my resume and typical personality stuff.
- Can you discuss your experience that's relevant to this role and what makes you suitable for it?
- What are your future career aspirations?
