Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RAC.
Software Engineer
It was a great experience. First, I spoke with Talent Acquisition, then the hiring manager. After that, there was a technical interview and a culture interview with the head of engineering.
- Could you introduce yourself?
Software Engineer
So it was a three stage interview process. The first stage was a conversation about my past experience and then some basic questions. The second stage involved a code walkthrough with another staff member, and they were both pretty nice. The third stage was an in-person office tour where I met everyone, and then, strangely, I was asked about my experience again, which was exactly the same as the first interview. The interviewer was also checking his phone and responding to messages while I was talking, which I found really unprofessional and off-putting, especially since it was a repeat of the first stage. I wasn't offered the job based on my experience, even though it seemed fine in the first interview and after meeting the team and seeing the office.
- Can you give an example of what a typical day was like in your past positions?
Software Developer
The interview experience was great. The interviewer introduced himself and allowed me to ask questions. He confirmed some of the details in my CV and asked some questions. The interview was very informative. He described the job role and shared some information about the company.
- Could you tell me about your experience?
