I found this job online and applied. HR James called me back in less than three days. I spoke with him, and the next week, I interviewed with the team. The week after that, HR wanted another interview with a different team. I asked James for the process rundown since I had other offers, but he was really vague. After the second round, they asked me to do an assignment that wasn't mentioned before. I really liked the team and their project, so I decided to work on it even with my EOY reports piling up. I spent all my nights for a whole week on it. During the project work, I had a third in-person interview. I submitted the project a week before Christmas. I knew it would take a while to hear back due to the holidays. A week after New Years, I emailed James for an update, but he didn't reply. So, the week after that, I emailed again. He finally responded saying he'd get back to me soon. I still didn't hear anything for another two weeks. I figured I didn't get the job, but for closure, I emailed him again. The next day, he emailed asking to chat the following morning. I gave him my availability, but he never called, which was super unprofessional. A few days later, the hiring manager emailed me for feedback on the project. I worked hard on it, so I deserved feedback. I told her I hadn't heard from James. She said she'd follow up with him. A few hours later, James emailed to schedule a call for an update. Hours later, he called without an email, saying they chose another candidate. This was the most unprofessional interview ever. I've had long interviews before, and HR usually kept me updated, but this company lacks communication and transparency, leaving me waiting for weeks. They don't respect candidates.
- What can you tell me about the company and its business?
Analyst
It was a really nice and professional interview process. I had to go through several interview rounds, which was a bit of a hassle, talking to the hiring manager, then the director, then the VP, and so on. Overall, it was a good experience, but I ended up not taking the offer.
- Can you describe your previous roles and responsibilities and how they align with the needs of this team?
Summer Analyst
We had two phone interviews and then a superday with 6 interviews. All interviews were a mix of technicals and behavioral. You need to be able to answer basic technicals and show your interest in banking and the company.
- Can you explain how the financial statements are linked?
