First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at R.G. Manabat & Co..
Associate
No technical questions or exams, it was all interviews. I had two interviews: one with HR and another with the tax manager. They were brief and focused on typical situational questions that are easy to answer if you're ready.
- How do you manage stress?

First, you send in your resume to HR. Then, HR will reach out for a call where you will take an accounting exam (if you're a CPA) and a behavioral exam. After that, there's a short interview. If you pass this, you'll be sent to the department manager or director of your choice. If you successfully pass that stage, you will either be recommended to the partner or you might get an offer immediately.
- What made you decide to join an auditing firm?
- What prompted your decision to join this particular department?
- Can you describe a time you faced a challenging situation at work and how you handled it?
Associate
So I applied through a walk-in, dropped my resume and then we had to take this exam covering accounting, tax, and advisory. After the exam, HR reached out to set up an interview for the next day. HR conducted the first interview, and then I met with the Hiring Manager. The manager asked about my expectations, strengths, weaknesses, and what I'm looking for in a team. I got the job offer the following week.
- Can you tell me why you are interested in R.G. Manabat & Co.?
