First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Qvest.US.
Software Engineer Intern
The interview process began with a technical interview, followed by a behavioral one, and then a game night social with the team. The company kept me updated via email about the next steps, although their website didn't allow for application tracking. Overall, the process was straightforward.
- Can you explain concepts like semigroup and provide programming examples?
- What does the 'null' keyword signify?
- How do you handle challenging situations at work?
Software Engineer
The recruiter gave me a coding problem to solve and submit. After I finished, she said the developers only wanted it on Bitbucket. I wasn't familiar with Git, so I struggled to submit it correctly. I ended up sending all the source code, including libraries and test cases, but she rejected it. I had put a lot of effort into writing it as production code, and they didn't accept it. I was interviewing at many places then and didn't have the time to figure out Bitbucket for them. A few days later, she emailed to say they weren't moving forward with my application. I asked for feedback on whether the developers had even reviewed my solution, but she never responded. I have a few offers now and have happily accepted one, but interviewing with them was a terrible experience. I'm glad it didn't work out because I wouldn't want to work there. It felt like a waste of my time and energy.
- Can you convert an integer number to its English word representation?
Software Engineer
It was a pretty straightforward process. First, a recruiter reached out. Then, a senior software engineer followed up. After that, I had to complete a programming test. The final part involved three interview rounds, including a technical interview with a simple 'code with me' exercise.
- What are your thoughts on improving a technical solution?
- Can you describe how you would enhance a technical solution?
- How would you approach a 'code with me' exercise?
