Customer Service Representative
First, the company calls from a blocked number that my carrier blocks, so I had to call them to unblock it. Then, what I thought was an interview wasn't. The interviewer just asked me questions about what I would do if I lost internet or power. I told her I'd notify my supervisor and get back online to make up time. Then she asked about hardwired internet and wifi. It was weird because she didn't ask anything about my actual customer service experience. After that, I got a rejection saying they found candidates who more closely matched their needs. It felt like a joke, especially since they dismissed me based on things I can't control. They should have focused on my CSR skills and work ethic.
- The interviewer asked what would happen if my internet or power went out.
- She asked again about what happens if the internet goes down or I lose power.
- She asked about hardwired internet and wifi.
Customer Service Representative
The hiring process was great and the trainers were incredible! They were very understanding the first week of training about all kinds of technical issues and they really made the hiring process easier. The job itself is great, the customers are very nice and time flies by during the shift.
- Can you troubleshoot your internet connection?
- Do you have a suitable workspace at home?
- What is your internet speed?
Customer Service Representative
The interview was straightforward and fair until the end. They asked basic computer application questions, behavioral questions, and problem-solving questions. Then, the recruiter's attitude changed. The recruiter made biased and insincere comments at the end, suggesting that employees from retail or restaurant backgrounds are more valuable to the call center than those from other career backgrounds looking to work in this field. This feedback was demoralizing and made me not want to apply to this company again.
- Asked about basic computer applications.
- Asked about a problem-solving scenario.
- Asked how you've used constructive feedback to improve.
