Senior Software Engineer
Ah, e eles me procuraram, eu não me candidatei pra vaga.
Software Engineer
I saw the job on Linkedin, chatted with someone I knew about it, and thought the company's mission and tech sounded cool, so I applied. A recruiter reached out via email and scheduled an interview. The recruiter asked about my salary expectations right away, which was a bit strange since their docs say they don't do that and make fair offers. We chatted about the company's history and my background. Then, I got a take-home coding test, which they estimated would take 2 hours but actually took me about 8. It wasn't super hard, but needed attention to detail. Next, I had a technical interview with a developer where we discussed my career experiences, how I'd tackle problems, and programming concepts. We also reviewed my take-home code and talked about potential improvements, no new code needed. This went well. Then, two senior devs led a system design interview where I had to present a solution to a common problem and discuss its trade-offs. They said I passed this stage. After that, the recruiter said I'd have a final interview with a manager and asked for availability. I gave it, but then got ghosted for weeks. After I followed up, the recruiter said they'd hired someone else. Weirdly, the same position was posted on Linkedin the next day, and I never figured out what actually happened.
- Could you tell me about your past experiences?
Software Engineer
The interview process had 5 rounds total. Everything was laid out clearly at the start. It kicked off with a phone screen, then a technical interview, followed by a take-home assignment. After that, there was a system design session, and it wrapped up with a hiring manager conversation. The whole thing took nearly a month, but it was a pretty straightforward path.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Can you solve one or two LeetCode-style problems of easy to medium difficulty?
- Can you complete a simple take-home assignment that requires good coding fundamentals?
