Marketing Analyst
We did a phone screen with HR, then a take home assessment. The final round was with 5 people, one by one, each for about 30 minutes. They were all from different teams.
- What's something about you that isn't on your resume?
Marketing Analyst
I had two phone screens for different departments. Then I did an Excel exercise. After two weeks, they invited me for a three-hour onsite interview with four people. The director led a whiteboard exercise. It was a pretty good process, and I sent thank you notes. Unfortunately, I didn't hear back. I followed up after a week and a half, and they said they'd made internal moves and hired someone else they thought was a better fit.
- Given metrics A, B, and C and Goal X, what strategies would you implement to optimize this marketing account?
Marketing Analyst
The HR team at Quinstreet was very professional and scheduled my first two phone interviews quickly. The first was a basic screening by HR, and the second was with a direct manager who was very pleasant. A week later, I had a three-hour in-person interview process involving three interviewers: a director, a senior manager, and a manager. The director provided a company overview and then gave me a prioritization exercise that seemed tricky and led me to believe I wouldn't be hired. The other two interviewers were more casual and answered my questions, although it was hard to learn about their work beforehand. They asked me two simple math questions. The interviews lasted about two hours. After a week of no contact, I emailed HR and received a standard rejection. The office was modern and quiet, located in a nice area near freeways.
- How would you prioritize a list of tasks including a weekly client call, a presentation for your manager, an IT meeting, and an unsatisfied client complaint?
- If given a list of activities, how would you decide what to do first?
- Can you solve these two basic math problems?
