First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Quantium.
Software Engineer
The interview process involved 5 rounds. It started with a telephonic conversation, which went well. Then there was an online test focused on data structures and algorithms. Surprisingly, I passed this test despite my initial doubts. Next, I was asked to develop a module, which I successfully completed and submitted the code. I received confirmation that the module development was successful and I had cleared this stage. However, after that, the technical contact person became unresponsive to my calls and emails. I have an email confirming my clearance of that round and successful module development. The module development required using new technologies and concepts, and I put in a lot of effort to create an optimized, precise, and extendable solution using the requested technologies. Now I feel like I've been cheated, and I must say this was the worst interview experience I've had.
- Questions about data structures and algorithms
Software Developer
After applying, I first had an online assessment, which was a multiple-choice quiz covering basic algorithm analysis, SQL, and some front-end stuff. It wasn't too difficult. After that, I had an online behavioural interview. It was a brief interview, and the interviewer was quite friendly and nice. I thought I did well in the interview, but they ended up rejecting my application. The feedback they gave was generic and about areas where I felt I actually did well, like researching the company's values and using STAR to answer situational questions. I sent them an email asking for more specific feedback on how I could improve, but they never replied. It's probably not a terrible company to work for, but the lack of feedback left me a bit disappointed. Definitely make sure to research Quantium's values before you interview.

Software Developer
I applied on their website and was contacted by HR for an initial call. Afterward, I went to their office for interviews with a team lead and a senior developer. The interviewers were really professional and seemed to know exactly what they were looking for and how to get it out of me. I've been contracting for a while and have a lot of interview experience, but this was the only one that made me really like the company.
- Can you identify the design pattern associated with Scala's Implicit feature?
