Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Quantium.
Analyst
It was the standard behavioral interview, lasting about 45 minutes. They really wanted it in person. When I left my place, I saw public transport was really delayed due to system failures. I called to see if we could switch to virtual, but they said no. Because of this, I didn't get back home until around 9 pm. The interview itself covered working with messy data, which I found a bit odd given Quantium's products, but it seems their internal data is quite a mess.
- Can you share your background?
- What's your experience dealing with messy data?

It was a multi-stage process, starting with a recruiter call, then a technical round. After that, there were two more interviews with key stakeholders. There was also a simple take-home technical test where I could use SQL, Python, or other tools. They were more interested in my thought process than getting the exact answers.
- Tell me about your preferred programming language and the reasons behind it.
- What insights do you have regarding Quantium?
Analyst
The interview process involved four rounds. First up was an HR call to gauge basic fit, asking typical intro questions. Next, I had a technical interview with two team members, focusing on my skills and including a verbal case study. The third round was a more intensive written case study: given a dataset and a problem, I had one hour to analyze it and present findings to two senior managers, who also posed additional mini case questions. The final interview was with the division principal. They mostly talked about the team and the work, then gave me a short 10-minute case study to analyze and present recommendations on. Impressing them here secured the job.
- Why are you interested in this particular field?
- Could you describe your most significant accomplishment in your previous position?
- Tell me about your past successes and achievements.
