This was a total waste of my time, sadly. They contacted me about a job after seeing my resume online. I had a phone screen and a 1:1 with a manager who didn't seem very interested in what I've done. I then got a really standard email saying I didn't advance, with a super general reason. When I asked for more specific feedback to help me improve, they said it was because I lacked experience in something that wasn't even in the job description and wasn't talked about during any of the interviews. It was a pretty strange experience.

I applied to Quantilope in September 2023 and heard back about 10 days later for a first interview. It was the only interview, and we mostly talked about my past experience and duties at my current job, plus what my company's product is. It felt weird though, like they were more interested in details about my company than me. The recruiter seemed friendly, and it all appeared fine. They rejected me saying, "We have received many qualified applications and it was not easy to make a decision...", which was a bit strange given the focus on my company.

quantilope's interview process is tough but really worth it! There were 5 steps before they gave me an offer. First, a phone screen with People & Culture. Then, a video interview with the hiring manager. After that, I had assignments to prep beforehand, and a presentation during a video interview with the hiring manager and another team lead. Next was a video chat with teammates, and finally, a video chat with the department head. Everyone was really nice throughout the whole process (no 'bad cop' questions) and totally fair. quantilope really values feedback, and you can see that in their interviews. They're genuinely interested in getting to know you and seeing if you're a good fit for the job and the company. They have tons of info about quantilope, their culture, and engagement on their website, so definitely check it out to prepare.

So after I sent in my cover letter and resume, there were 3 rounds of interviews. First up was this intro call with one of the People & Culture Managers where we chatted about my background, the role, and what it's like working here. Then, I had an hour-long interview with the COO and the People & Culture Manager where they hit me with more situational and technical questions. The last step was presenting a case study I'd worked on to two team leads, followed by a casual 30-minute coffee chat to meet some of the other folks on the team. The whole thing took about 6 weeks from resume submission to offer, mostly because it was over the holidays, so it probably usually goes quicker.

- What technical knowledge do you have about Market Research?
- Can you describe your experience with time management?
