So I had this technical phone screen thing, where the interviewer chatted about my experience and threw a simple coding question at me. Then, I got invited for an onsite interview pretty quickly. I met with four people there, and it was all about standard algorithm and data structure questions. I was supposed to meet the Founder too, but he was out that day, which the recruiter didn't even know. What was a bummer is they totally left me hanging afterward. The day after the interview, I hit up the recruiter for feedback, and they said the decision meeting hadn't happened yet. A few days later, I asked again, and the recruiter said the feedback decision meeting would be later that day. When I checked back a few days after that, crickets. Seriously, just be upfront. If I don't make the cut, tell me. If you're holding me as a backup while you offer the job to someone else (which is what I'm guessing), be real and say so.

A really nice recruiter reached out to me within a week of applying. Then I went through two rounds of technical interviews on Skype, which went great. The people interviewing me were awesome and asked some interesting questions beyond the problems I had to solve. The day after my last interview, I chatted with the Sr Recruiter, and a few days later, I spoke with the VP of Engineering. In total, I interacted with 6 people from the company, and everyone was incredibly friendly! The whole thing was super smooth.

It was a simple coding challenge and then they introduced themselves and the company. They also talked about the tech team. It wasn't too hard, probably because it's a startup.
