The HR person did a phone interview with me. After that, they asked me to complete an online assessment. This assessment wasn't about coding but involved solving puzzles, which was a bit tedious and time-consuming. Unfortunately, I never heard back after submitting it.

I first chatted with a recruiter about the job. Then, I had a phone interview with two senior managers where they asked about my coding skills and my background. Following that, there were some personality questions. After passing that stage, I went into a panel interview with about five people from the engineering team. It felt more like a 'get to know you' session to see if I'd be a good fit, rather than a technical quiz. The people were great though.

I applied online and got a quick reply. First, I took a coding test online. Then, I had an interview with the development manager where I was asked a lot of technical questions, mainly about JavaScript. After that, there were two more JavaScript assessments during the interview, also conducted online. Once those were finished, I asked some questions and then got a very fast response that they were moving on with other candidates. The rejection email mentioned: 'Unfortunately we cannot provide specific feedback as it may be held against us.' This made the company seem shady to me. The role seemed very JavaScript-heavy, and the manager sounded tired, so it didn't seem like a good fit for me. It's important to be proud of your company and show that during the interview! I learned from past experience not to accept offers when interviewers sound unenthusiastic. If you're not giving feedback, just keep rejection emails simple and direct, don't include lines that make your company look like they're hiding something.
