Started with a basic screening, then went into sales-specific interviews with the regional director, local hiring manager, and finally sales enablement. Everyone was ready, asked good questions, and really wanted to get to know me.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I applied online and then had a quick call with the Hiring Director. The next week, I had an onsite meeting. They asked general questions, and surprisingly, not many behavioral ones for a sales job. Neopost tried to sell the role as a cool tech sales job, but the salary, training, and potential for growth didn't match up. I got an offer but turned it down because I'd be taking a pay cut selling outdated tech and risk becoming irrelevant. The office, leadership, and peers didn't feel like a tech company either, especially since competitors offer similar products for free while Neopost charges a lot for an old system.

So I had this phone interview, right? Then like a week went by and I hit up the recruiter, but crickets. Then another person called me up wanting to do the phone interview RIGHT THEN, but it wasn't a good time, so we rescheduled. She totally missed that call though, and texted later that night asking if I was free, which I wasn't. I told her my availability for the next day and she called at a time I said I wasn't free. When I called back, no answer and her voicemail was full. Then I got a rejection email two days later. A few days after that, she hit me up again wanting to schedule an in-person interview. It was all super disorganized and confusing, honestly. It made me not even want to bother with neopost anymore.
