Teacher
This involved a lot of trials and demos, and I had to purchase equipment. It took about 2 months. I was told "After careful review, we have determined that this would not be a good fit and are unable to offer you an invitation to move on. You looked tired during that class and lack of energy during teaching. And it would be much better if your class is oriented by student talk instead of teacher talk." I feel this is a cop-out because all other reviews were positive. This place seems to really like yelling, based on their demo videos. I'm disappointed and confused by how long the process was and how unprofessional it was overall.

English Teacher
After taking an English test for Q kids I was sent several emails asking me to send an introduction video and computer specs. After sending this in I was asked to send a video of me reading a children’s story. I did this. After messaging one to two times a week asking me to move along with my application they send me an automated message saying they can’t move forward with me because of the volume of applications. So why did you keep messaging me? I really don’t buy it to be honest. For me it was a waste of time and I just thought others should be aware of my experience. You may think you’re being courted but that may not be the case.

First, you submit your resume and a video of yourself telling a children's story. Don't worry if your video cuts off mid-story, that happened to me too and I still advanced! Next is Demo 1, where they check if you can navigate the system. Make sure you know the games really well. They'll ask you to demo a game like you're teaching a kid. Then, Demo 2! You'll go through an entire lesson like you're teaching a child. My interviewer had me quickly go through each slide. Finally, you'll do up to 5 trial classes with actual students. Be super animated and engaged! I did 4 trial classes before they offered me a Qkids teacher position :)
