Mechanical Engineer
First, there's a pre-screening to evaluate you. Then, the team lead checks out your skills and how you'd fit in. Lastly, the director looks at your qualifications and if your strategy aligns, making sure you tick all the boxes for the role and the company.
- Can you describe your past experience?
- What tools are you skilled in?
Mechanical Design Engineer
The interview process included competency questions about general engineering knowledge, my CAD experience, and the company. They were pretty strict about sticking to the questions, and points from each question made up the total score. It felt like the interviewers weren't totally prepped, sometimes struggling to explain the question's context or what they were looking for.
- Can you tell me what you know about our company?
Staff Mechanical Engineer
I talked with 6 engineers/managers about myself and my resume. We went over the projects I've worked on and what I did in them. After that, we did a Q&A that included personality questions (like strengths/weaknesses). Then, there were some technical questions. Finally, I got to ask them questions about the company and the role.
- Tell me about yourself and your resume.
- Can you elaborate on the projects you've been involved with and your specific roles within them?
- What would you consider your greatest strength?
