First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at QIAGEN.
Scientist
i had an interview with the hiring manager and an interview with HR. then there was a presentation interview that lasted about two hours and was pretty informal. the presentation was with the director of field application, team members, and sales partners. you had to present something and then answer questions about your presentation. after that, there was a background check and then an offer.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
Senior Scientist
It was a face-to-face interview. The atmosphere was laid-back even though the interview was technically demanding. The interviewers were friendly and keen to help me perform my best. They also took the time to answer all my questions honestly.
- Can you discuss your technical expertise regarding PCR and assay development?
Scientist
Large assessment centre in a group. Quite a relaxed atmosphere. Mix of group and individual tasks. Quite a bit of waiting around but nice to chat to other candidates. Presentation, individual task, group task, 1 on 1 interview.
