Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at QIAGEN.
Intern
The interview was good for testing problem-solving, throwing curveballs to see how I'd react and adapt. They wanted to check my analysis, creativity, and how I handle pressure. The interviewer was professional, making it tough but fair. I felt good about the problems, using logic and staying chill, even though some were super hard and made me think fast. It was a solid test of how I deal with the unknown and stress.
- When presented with a new, unfamiliar device during the interview, what potential issues or problems would you anticipate it might encounter?
Intern
It was just one round directly with the manager and another team member. The questions asked were technical and related to the role. The interview lasted for about an hour.
- Can you tell us about yourself?
- What makes you a good fit for this position?
- Why are you interested in QIAGEN?
Intern
Had a zoom meeting, super casual and chill, just make sure to research the company. Be honest and confident. The interview was about 30 mins. The HR intern gave me a specific date for onboarding, but I had to wait about a week for an update on my application status.
- Tell me what you know about our company.
