Talent Acquisition Specialist
After reading some really bad reviews on Glassdoor, I decided to proceed with the interview process because I thought I could make improvements if I got the job. The process started with an interview with a staffing agency in London, followed by a video interview and then a phone interview with one of the recruiting managers. I was then invited to Qatar for an in-person interview, which I was looking forward to as I had plans to discuss employer branding and candidate experience. Unfortunately, things went south when the recruiting coordinator couldn't get my visa sorted. After I got the required polio vaccination, she informed me that the visa was rejected. I suspect it was due to a lack of experience in handling business visa applications. She then said a recruiter would get back to me with feedback, but I haven't heard anything since, neither from the recruiter nor the London staffing agency. They've definitely lived up to their Glassdoor reputation.
- Can you introduce yourself and mention the types of roles you've recruited for?
- Have you previously hired for technical positions?
- Are you married?
Corporate Recruiter
they contacted me for a phone interview 3 times, 3 different people, then I had to reexplain 3 times who I was and what I was looking for. After each interview I had to follow up and never received feedback. Horrible candidate experience. After 6 months I still don't know where my application stands.
- What is your motivation for applying to Qatar Airways?
- What are your reasons for wanting to work in Doha?
Talent Acquisition
I had a WebEx panel interview and assessment. The team was nice and professional. They asked a lot of questions about my previous work experience. My advice is to just be calm and conversational, and answer their questions directly.
- Can you tell us about yourself?
- Describe a time you overcame a challenge.
