First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Qatar Airways.
Office Manager
It was a good process, very clear. First, a quick call with the recruiter to chat about my background, what I'm looking for salary-wise, and the main duties. Then, I talked with the hiring manager about my skills in running an office, staying organized, and communicating well. The last part was meeting with higher-ups to talk about my leadership approach, the company vibe, and how I juggle tasks and work with the team. Everyone was cool and professional, and I heard back pretty fast. All in all, it went smoothly and felt respectful.
- When faced with numerous urgent tasks, how do you decide which to tackle first?
Manager
I applied and heard back really fast, which was great, and they even sorted out transport and a place to stay for the interview. It felt a bit rushed to get the interview done, but once I got past that stage, things really slowed down and followed the usual hiring timeline. Having patience and a solid plan really helped me through it.
- The interview focused heavily on behaviors, with a significant emphasis on technical background as well.
Commercial Manager
This was a really unprofessional and disrespectful recruitment process. I got no feedback and no response to my questions, just complete silence. This happened after three rounds: a phone interview, an in-person manager interview with a presentation, and a VP-level discussion. Honestly, my perception of the employer brand is now very low because of the time I invested and the lack of clear outcome. It's perfectly fine if a candidate and company aren't a match, but when a process takes hours and ends with more questions than answers, it makes you wonder about the company culture and how they communicate internally. :)
