Technical Support Engineer
The HR team was super professional, polite and courteous all through. They kept me in the loop and communicated clearly at every step. However, the interview panels in all three rounds were very formal and didn't show much warmth or engagement. While being professional is key, the lack of connection made it hard to picture the workplace culture. The serious vibe made the interviews feel one-sided, which dulled my enthusiasm for the role as things went on. My advice for the company: try to make the interview environment more welcoming. Candidates are also checking if they'd actually like working with the team, so a more balanced approach, professional but also friendly, would really improve the candidate experience.
- Can you tell me about your background and experience?
Customer Success Manager
I first talked to the recruiter, and it went well. Then, I was asked to interview with a regional person for the role. We had a good talk, and they said they'd recommend me. They even gave me some tips for the hiring manager interview. The next day, the recruiter asked about my availability for the hiring manager interview. I gave it, but then there was some back and forth with excuses for two weeks. Then the recruiter said the hiring manager chose someone else. I was annoyed about being strung along for two weeks but asked for feedback anyway. No response. After asking three times over two weeks with no answer, I contacted the hiring manager directly. He said he'd look into it. Two weeks later, he emailed saying 'sorry for the experience, we will take action to improve it.' Still no feedback? He acted like he wasn't involved. I asked again for specific feedback. I got a generic response that 'he hired someone else that is why the hiring process was stopped.' Still no personal feedback. Two days later, the role was advertised again! I emailed the hiring manager asking what was going on. No response. Two months later, the role is still advertised. I now doubt the role even exists. It's frustrating that this kind of subpar experience comes from people in customer-facing roles. It's worrisome. Time wasters who don't respect people's time. Stay Away!
- Why would you like to work for QAD?
Software Engineer
The interview process had four rounds. First, an MCQ test. Second, a technical round covering Java, Testing, Linux, YAB, and Automation. Third, a round with a manager and technical assessment. Fourth, a Human Resource round. This whole process was repeated.
- Could you explain polymorphism?
- Can you write Java code to reverse a number?
- Show me how to reverse a string in code.
Project Manager
The first interview didn't have a base salary for the position. The second interview was okay. In the third interview, I could barely speak because the interviewer took up 80% of the time talking. For the fourth interview, they kept me waiting for about 15 minutes. I had to contact HR to see if it was still going to happen. I contacted the recruiter 10 days later to see if they had an answer, and surprisingly, they didn't reply and I automatically received an automated email saying they weren't moving forward with me. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM!!
