First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Putnam Investments.
Client Service Representative
I went in, filled out some paperwork, then did a test that took an hour. After that, I talked to the HR manager. Then, I was sent to the call center area where I listened in on some calls. Finally, I had a group interview. The whole thing took about 3.5 hours. They said they'd call me in a few weeks, but I had to follow up and still heard nothing. They did end up calling me 3.5 weeks later to say I didn't get the job.
- Can you describe a stressful situation you encountered and how you managed to get through it?
Client Service Representative
I applied online and then an HR rep reached out for a phone interview. After that, they had me come in for an interview. When I got there, I had to take a test with math and critical thinking problems, followed by a basic behavioral test. Then I met with a Senior HR rep, and after that, I met with someone currently in the role. The process ended with me interviewing with two managers.
- Basic behavioral questions.
- What is Putnam?
- Why did you want to work here?
Client Service Representative
I had a telephone interview first, then we set up an in-person interview. It was longer than I thought it would be. When I got there, I had to fill out another application and do some kind of assessment test. After that, I had a one-on-one with someone from HR. Then, I was taken down to the call center to shadow someone currently in the role so I could see what the job is like. Finally, I met with two supervisors from the department for the second part of the interview.
- What's your approach to dealing with upset customers?
