Sales Development Representative
The interview process started with a phone screen, followed by an interview with the sales manager, and then a final round with two SDRs and two sales managers. The recruiter was very nice and corrigible. What I disliked about this interview process was how disorganized it was. One of the interviewers never showed up and there were internal complications on setting up the final interview. One of the sales managers was condescending from the very beginning. Wouldn’t have wanted to work here even if I was hired. This should have been a red flag from the start but many friends have worked and left. Reviews seem accurate that are out there.
- Let's do a sales role play.
- Can you tell me about a time you were competitive?
Sales Development Representative
Started with a recruiter phone screen where Norah covered the job details and pay. Then a manager call, which began with standard questions but devolved into unprofessional comments about current employees' weaknesses and my own assumptions. The next step was a video interview due to Covid, involving a sales role-play call and other questions. I was told I'd hear back in 48 hours, but it's been over a month with no decision or communication, which was disappointing and felt like a waste of time.
- How do you handle being asked a question when you're very busy?
Sales Development Representative
This interview is basically the manager's chance to chill and have a good time. They're really focused on convincing you that you're applying for the best company ever. It doesn't really matter who you are or what you bring to the table. They're upfront about the fact that they don't need you and want you to really fight for the job. It's all about whether you can be won over by their commission setup or if you'll buy into their company narrative. If neither of those work for you, they're not interested.
- Given the pressure of our sales floor, why do you think you're the right fit for this role?
