It was aggravating and very disorganized. I got a text from a recruiter asking to set up a phone interview with the hiring manager. The HM thought the recruiter did an initial screen, which didn’t happen. We had a good interview. A week later, another recruiter reached out to set up a video interview with team members. I spent a few weeks going back and forth with this recruiter to schedule it. He’d say ‘ok let’s schedule for this date/time’ but never confirm, then say the next day he couldn’t confirm and we’d have to reschedule. This went on for 2-3 weeks until I finally got the date confirmed. I did the video interview with team members, sent thank yous, and waited a few weeks. I texted/called the recruiter 2 weeks later to follow up and heard nothing back. I assumed they went with someone else, but I’m annoyed I didn’t even get a rejection after a few rounds. The whole process was unprofessional, and I won’t consider Purple again.

This was a really fast and personal hiring process, I never felt ignored. No HR call at all. The hiring manager reached out directly within days of my application and we had a phone chat. She then scheduled a follow-up interview with just the two of us a few days later. After that, she texted me inviting me for an in-person interview at HQ with her and the COO the next week. That meeting felt more like a friendly conversation than a formal interview; they made me feel really at ease. It seemed like they already knew my value and were just checking for cultural fit. On my drive home, the hiring manager called and extended an offer. I was able to start two and a half weeks after that.

Behavioral Presentation

I was referred by a past co-worker, so my experience was probably a little different than most, but I had emailed back and forth with the CMO who had been given my resume. They were looking for a project manager in their Marketing Department to help add some process and run things. I met in person with the CMO and CBO when I came in and then they gave me a tour. It took HR a month to get an offer approved but as I wasn't seeking employment at the time, I wasn't in any hurry. Once I got the offer, I started two weeks later and the whole process was quite smooth.
