So, the interview for React and Node.js kinda starts with a recruiter chat to see if my background and skills are a good fit. After that, there’s a technical part where they test my React and Node.js skills, maybe with some coding challenges or a take-home task. Then, I had a technical interview with some engineers where we talked about React stuff like component lifecycles, hooks, and state management, and also Node.js topics like async programming and building APIs. The last part was a behavioral interview, basically to see if I’d fit in with the team and the company vibe, usually asking about my past projects and how I work with others.
- What are some ways to boost the performance of a Node.js application?
- Can you explain what clustering is in Node.js?
- How would you go about handling memory leaks in Node.js applications?

So, my interview for this SQL and Node.js gig started with a recruiter chat, just to check my background and see if I had the basic tech chops. Then came a technical test, like coding challenges or a take-home thing, to really check how well I knew SQL and Node.js. After that, I had a technical interview with some of the engineers, where we dove deep into SQL stuff like concepts, how to design databases, and making them run fast. We also talked Node.js, like its async nature and building APIs. The last part was a behavioral chat, to see if I'd vibe with the team and the company culture, usually asking about my past work and how I collaborate.
- Could you define what a relational database is?
- Can you describe the distinctions between SQL and NoSQL databases?
- What do primary keys and foreign keys signify in a database context?

So, our interview process is designed to really get a good grasp on what candidates can do. It kicks off with an online assessment, which is basically some coding challenges or multiple-choice questions to check out basic coding skills and how they solve problems. Then, we dive deeper with an assessment focused on Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA), where they get into tougher coding problems and theory to see how well they understand the core concepts. The last part is the technical interview itself; this is where they work through real-world problems, talking through their solutions and showing off their system design knowledge, how they optimize things, and what tech they know. It’s a pretty thorough way to get a full picture of their abilities.
- Could you design an efficient algorithm to locate the kth smallest element within a sorted matrix of integers?
- How would you architect a scalable and fault-tolerant system for a social media platform serving millions of users, ensuring high availability and data consistency?
- What strategies would you discuss for optimizing the performance of a real-time chat application, covering both server-side and client-side aspects?
