Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Puget Sound Energy.
Engineering
I applied online and heard back about two weeks later for an in-person interview at their Bellevue HQ. The interview itself was pretty straightforward, and people were dressed casually. There were about 20 behavioral questions and just one technical one. I got the offer for the summer about two weeks after that.
- Can you explain the process of power generation to distribution?
- What are your strengths?
- What are your weaknesses?
Engineer
It was a very comfortable interview. There was a three-member panel, and each member had different questions to ask. They asked technical as well as personal questions. I never felt under immense pressure. The hiring process didn't take too long, and they had great communication.
- Nothing unexpected was asked, I was well prepared, and felt comfortable throughout the entire interview.
Engineering
I applied online right when the application opened and got a phone call a few weeks later to set up an in person interview. I went through the interview and a few weeks later got a call to let me know I was hired. It was a pretty decent and easy interview experience. Everyone was really friendly.
- Can you describe the distribution of power?
