It was a pretty standard interview process, nothing out of the ordinary. I felt good and confident during the whole thing. They mostly asked typical interview questions and the interviewer was pretty nice.

It was an easy interview. They asked a lot of questions about how I would handle customer situations, my personal approach to customer service, and my experience and how it relates to the job, as well as any areas of interest I had in the store. It was a very laid-back process, and I had a great conversation with the manager. Even though I had a great conversation with the manager, I never heard back from Publix, even though they said I would hear back within a week. I called the store to check on the status each week for almost a month, and they told me to stop calling. I still haven't received even an email confirming that I wasn't chosen for the job. I'm really disappointed in Publix in how this was handled because I would have loved to have worked there. This is coming from someone who is native to Lakeland. I really didn't think Publix would ghost me, a simple email would have been nice. Again, I'm severely disappointed in how they handled this and it really isn't the "Publix way" from how they present themselves to customers and to interviewees.

Had one 30-minute chat with the department manager. We talked about my past experience and my long-term goals and plans. The manager also described what the job involves, its responsibilities, and where help is needed.
