I went through Publicis Sapient’s hiring process and it was one of the most frustrating experiences. They conduct 3 internal rounds and 3 client rounds, with each round lasting around 2 hours. That means the entire process drags on for several days, requiring a lot of time and energy from candidates. I cleared all the rounds successfully and even reached the salary negotiation stage. The HR promised me that I would be given my expected salary. However, after that, they completely stopped responding. My calls, emails, and messages went unanswered. Despite being selected, they never released my offer letter. This shows a complete lack of professionalism and respect for candidates’ time and effort. If they can’t honor their commitments or communicate properly, they should not drag candidates through such a lengthy process. I would strongly advise job seekers to be cautious before investing their valuable time with Publicis Sapient.

The interview will cover PySpark basics including core concepts like RDD, DataFrame, and the difference between Transformations and Actions. We'll look at common functions such as map, flatMap, filter, groupBy, join, withColumn, select, and agg. Understanding Spark Architecture, including the Driver, Executors, and Cluster Manager, is key. We'll also touch on optimizations like the Catalyst Optimizer, DAG, RDD Lineage, and Broadcast join. Partitioning is important, so we'll discuss why partitions matter and the difference between repartition and coalesce. Additionally, SQL basics will be covered, including Joins (inner, left, right, full, self join), Group By / Aggregations (SUM, COUNT, AVG), and Window functions (ROW_NUMBER, RANK, PARTITION BY). Finally, we'll go over subqueries (scalar vs correlated) and CTEs (WITH clause).

Publicis Sapient came to my campus for intern hiring. The first stage was an online test. There were two questions. The IDE was a bit irritating because test cases failed incorrectly. I got both questions right; one was easy and the other medium. I was then invited to a technical round. The interviewer was polite and helpful. The interview lasted an hour and a half. It covered OOP, OS, Computer Networks, DSA, Software Principles, and System Design. Not knowing Computer Networks and Software Principles wasn't an issue. My project code was discussed, including implementation details and reasoning. This round was tiring but went well. Afterwards, I had a Core Value (HR) round. The interviewer asked about my past experiences in certain situations and how I would handle hypothetical scenarios. This round was brief and positive. Finally, I was informed about my selection. Overall, a very good experience.
