First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Publicis Sapient.
Associate
You start by submitting your resume online. Then, a recruiter or HR will screen it to make sure it fits the job description and your experience is right. They'll check your basic qualifications and if you seem like a good fit. If you pass this, you might get a call about an offer. But to check your tech skills, there will be multiple rounds. These could be coding rounds where you solve problems on a whiteboard or using platforms like CoderPad, HackerRank, or LeetCode. You might also have system design rounds where you design systems, talk about trade-offs, or discuss architecture.
- Tell me about multithreading.
- Can you explain OOPS?
- What are Java 8 Streams?
Associate Director
It was a 5-round interview process. The first round was with a peer to check my domain knowledge. The second round was with a senior person to see if I fit the core values. The third round was with my global counterpart or manager, focusing on leadership skills. The fourth round was with someone from Agile Programme Management to assess my project and programme management abilities.
- Can you share an example of how you've handled challenging team dynamics?
- What's your process for addressing underperformance on your team?
- Describe your experience managing situations with contingent workers.
Senior Associate
I had an interview with the hiring manager and a colleague, then a second interview with the department manager and a different colleague. The recruiter had sent me the wrong job spec for the first interview. Even though I was interviewing for the correct position, the hiring manager initially questioned whether to proceed given the discrepancy, despite my explanation that it was a recruiter error. This was quite distracting and set a negative tone. However, we managed to move past it once we delved into my CV. The second interview followed the same format as the first: two interviewers asking questions about my CV. I was a bit surprised by this, as it felt like an old-fashioned way to assess candidates, essentially a repeat of the initial interview. I received an offer shortly after and accepted.
- What is your understanding of our company?
- Can you explain how your background prepares you for success in this position?
