Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Publicis Groupe.
Manager
So first the consultant asked for my resume, then they forwarded it to HR. HR checked if I matched the JD. Then HR connected with me for the first round. There were three rounds in total: HR, tech, and manager, and the last round was with the director. The last round with the director was just to check my confidence. One thing you really need to take care of is to be vocal about what you are looking for because during my case, HR did not inform me and I lost the opportunity. Else I would have been selected; they got to know about their mistake later when I already got another job.
- Could you elaborate on the budgets you've managed previously?
- Which platforms do you find yourself most comfortable working with?
- Can you discuss your experience with both B2C and B2B campaigns?
Head of Department
I interviewed twice with C-suite execs, one call even happened during the Christmas holidays as they were in a rush. They mentioned decisions would be made in January. I followed up multiple times in January and February. The executive recruiter initially said he was waiting to hear back but then ghosted me. The C-levels also never responded. Ghosting a candidate after multiple interviews with senior leadership and during the holidays is really unprofessional. A basic response like "We're going in a different direction," "The role is on hold," or "We're looking for someone with more XYZ experience" would have been the minimum courtesy. Instead, complete silence. If this is how they treat candidates, I can only guess what it's like to work there.
- Is this an intense role I'd be willing to take on?
Junior Manager
I am happy to help. The document doesn't give much detail on the interview process itself, but I found some related files. There's a presentation on interview training that covers situational and case studies, and behavioral interviewing, showing how to get specific examples using 'I' statements. Another document is a toolkit for subject matter experts, listing pain points in the interview process and how to document and validate it. There's also an assessment form for an intern that details how candidates are evaluated. An email mentions scheduling a case study interview, and another talks about an upcoming interview training session with pre-work. Do you want to know more about any of these?
- How do you manage your workload?
