Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Public Consulting Group.
Project Specialist
It was a pretty smooth process. Everyone was great and the recruiter kept things moving. The questions fit the role and it felt like a comfortable conversation. I had a screening interview, a performance task, and then two panel interviews with different people.
- How do you adapt to remote work?
Subject Matter Expert
I first spoke with a recruiter, then had a panel interview with the heads of various departments. After they discussed it, I waited almost a month for a decision. Once I got the green light, it took another month to set a start date.
- What's your strategy for teaching adults?
Client Specialist
Applied in September, got a call in October for a phone interview, then had 2 in-person interviews. The interviewers and HR were great, very conversational and put me at ease. The questions were pretty typical, except for some about my connection to the public sector or the specific department. I was surprised by a data test during the second interview. HR contacted me several weeks later. I had another offer already, and they couldn't extend one in time. It was a really positive experience with a great company overall.
- What's your interest in the public sector and specifically in PCG?
